Things

Bulan Ramadhan sudah pun tiba.

Bersama dengan cubaannya.

Ya Allah, meskiku rapuh dalam langkah, aku tetap hidup untukMu Yang Esa.
Insya-Allah, hambamu diberi kekuatan dan keimanan hanya daripadaMu.

Akanku bertaqwa

Rapuh

I cannot stop listening to this song.
The lyrics contain a certain elusive feel.
A je ne sais quoi meaning too.
When I listen to it carefully, it gets emotional.
Well, I get emotional.
But I love this song still.

Merry-Go-Round

LOVE this Merry-Go-Round:)
If it kept on spinning and spinning infinitely,
I promise I won't feel dizzy
and I promise I won't feel nauseous.
Instead I'll fall asleep
because of the wind
singing its lullaby,
my legs swinging in its rhythm,
my hijab almost fluttering.
And my face exposed to the breezy cool air.

Sigh...What a feeling.
Wished it could last longer.
And it will ;)

Coffee Break

On a cold, rainy day like today, it's a great feeling to be able to wrap myself in blankets with a cup of warm sweetened coffee in my hands. Not forgetting in the company of a coffee expert and addict, my dear ibu. Nothing says I love you than spending  time with loved ones even if it means missing school or work. And maybe I should invite Mr Chocolate ;) Tea? Well, no thank you. Actually Cameron's strawberry tea I would LOVE. But never been a fan of tea unless there is a dire need for me to stay up late. I'll take coffee any time. And strawberry tea :D

Deja Brew: The feeling that you've had this coffee before.

Walk In The Shadow

Composed by A.R. Rahman, written by Gulzar, sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Sapna Awasthi

This song is beautiful. Almost addictive.
I was watching Globe Trekker and the host, Ian Wright was on the roof of the train.
Then, a flash of memory.
Shah Rukh singing and swaying,
dancing fearlessly on the roof of a moving train saying
"Chal chaiyya chaiyya chaiyya chaiyya"

Apparently, in 2003 and according to BBC, an international poll was conducted to choose the ten most popular songs of all time.
People from 155 countries voted "Chaiyya Chaiyya" ninth in the top 10 songs.

The rhythm and melody....Beautiful.
I know that I will probably listen to this song at least once a day.
Its the kind of song you never forget.
And so,
I want to thank that very act of Mr Wright
on the roof of a train for enabling me to remember this song.
Thank you.

Selamat Hari Jadi

July 21st

My birthday. I wasn't looking forward to it actually. Growing older isn't one of my hobbies. But we can never stop time, can we?

Birthday wishes came pouring in since early hours of 21 July. And I truly appreciate it. What I did later that day...

DINNER
A few friends brought me out for dinner. To Pizza Hut we went. But just before we arrive, they surprised me! With a big, round strawberry covered cheesecake and a lit up candle on top. It was delicious. The cake not the candle. Moist and not too cheesy for a cheesecake. After that early dessert we entered Pizza Hut. We all had a 5-course special. And I must say, we were so full after 4th course and barely ate the one scoop of ice cream for dessert. I finished mine of course. Because I went out with an empty stomach to prepare myself for such a feast. After the meal, the exchange of gifts :) A card and present I received :D Thank you thank you so much. Thank you to Pavitra for the delicious cheesy surprise. Thank you to Sharanya who was probably the mastermind of all these. And thank you Jac and Sharon for your wishes and much felt presence. Hahaha...

HOME
Rushed home as fast as I could. I knew my family would have something for me. Reached home to another surprise. Another CAKE! This time a soft, vanilla cake topped with fruits. Not only that. My mother bought chocolates, yoghurt, presents and my siblings even prepared a little performance. Astounded I was. Tired as I was at that moment, I persevered and continued the 'partying' with my dear family. My mother gave me a tender bracelet, my sister gave me a pretty shawl, my brother gave me a practical thumbdrive(because I actually asked for one from him). My father, well, he honoured us with his presence. Hahaha... THANK YOU. Last but not least, the performance. I felt so embarrassed even before it started. Apparently, my siblings prepared a dance cum song performance. A HAPPY BIRTHDAY dance cum song and a little re-enactment of my violent tendencies. Okay, this may not make sense, but it does to me. It was so funny that I couldn't help laughing real hard. My mother took a video of it but I'm still too embarrassed to see it and show it to anyone. So it shall remain in the family. Yes.

Syukran and Alhamdullilah for everything.

Alhamdullilah for all the care and concern. Alhamdullilah that people no matter how busy they are, actually took the time to plan surprises, get gifts, send their sincere wishes and etc. LOVE them to bits. In times like this, it  highlights the people who are real and will always be there for you.
