Love For The Coming Month

I am excited about the coming Islamic Month! Ramadhan is coming! All too slowly... Even so, I shall patiently wait for the month of blessings to arrive. I'm so excited about it though I can never truly explain why. All I know is that last year, I couldn't truly enjoy and reap the benefits of Ramadhan because of exams(Man's creation to make lives more miserable). But this year, its going to be different :D There is much more freedom to be enjoyed. More space to explore creativity. More time to occupy myself with hobbies long forgotten.

Ramadhan is so special. Well, it is very special to me. In a sense that I'm more calm and at peace. It's as if my inner spirituality is there. Ever present. I feel more protected. As if there are angels providing warm comfort. I feel more united with our fellow muslim brothers and sisters in the world. United by the shared experiences and similar goals of reaping the benefits of Ramadhan.

I'm so excited! I've even placed the countdown to Ramadhan widget to the right of my blog.:)) Yay! My dear mother who has finally recovered from that illness that I passed to her(I'm truly sorry Ibu) promised to try to get a mini oven. If not oven, a toaster oven? Well, that means I may be able to bake raya kuih:) I so want to bake cookies. Chocolate chip cookies. Sigh...Insya-Allah she can keep to her word. Insya-Allah.

LOVE RAMADHAN :)

One day...

One day, I am going to learn how to play this song on the piano.
And hopefully, one day, maybe someone can play this song to me.
That'll be a giant romantic gesture.

Beautiful

'When I woke up this morning I asked myself: What are some of the secrets of success in life? I found the answer right there in my very room. The Fan said - Be cool. The Roof said - Aim high. The Window said - See the world. The Clock said - Every minute is precious. The Mirror said - Reflect before you act. The Door said - Push hard for your goals. And don't forget, the Carpet said - Kneel down & pray.'

Allahuakhbar.

There goes all my petty complaints.

Oh no....

I haven't fully recovered. But am in the process of recovering from a fever, sore throat, and a bad cough.Yet during the course of my illness, I had time to go for a holiday of which my illness did not get any better. Thats what I get for being stubborn. And just when I thought things would be better, my dear mother falls ill. She RARELY falls sick. And when she does, it is scary. For me. Scary because there is a possibility of her falling seriously ill. When both my brother and sister go off for school and my father goes off for work, I'm left with my mother at home. But I am supposed to go for a camp. How am I to go leaving my dear ill mother to fend off her illness by herself? In times like this, I get so confused sometimes. The solution seems simple. But to believe in the solution, thats plain hard for me. I should stay at home and take care of my mother right? Oh should I go for the camp leaving my sick mother at home? Oh gosh, the solution feels like its in my face! Yet, acknowledging the solution and that it is what I'm supposed to do is hard. Its all thanks to my over-thinking mind. All I know is if anything happens to my mother and I'm not around to help her, I can never forgive myself.

A holiday in the clouds

This week I had the opportunity to literally live in the clouds.
Amazing feeling, beautiful sights and sounds, more than pleasant company.
A much deserved break from everything else.
 Alhamdullilah.

One day...

One day, I will leave my footprints in the sands of desolate deserts for the clouds of day to count.
