Reminder

This is simply a reminder to myself and others who happen to stumble on this humble blog of mine.
This little blog is but a medium for me to express my thoughts and opinions and/or rants of value or otherwise. Much of what I post is a reminder to me and maybe some out there (but mostly me). A reminder of what happened in the past and such. I'm sure many like to re-read their old essays, short stories, past opinions only to realize how smart or stupid you were once upon a time and getting embarrassed or irate over your own words. Ah, good times...

I suppose yes, its a diary. Why I don't choose to physically write it all out in a book is because I'm a perfectionist and it frustrates me a lot if I don't get write things right. And so, here I can click undo or delete or copy or paste and such. Less of a hassle but at a cost to my privacy. Then again, I can always make this blog private. Hmm...

Why here on blogger and not tumblr or wordpress? Well, blogger is much simpler and straightforward for me at least. You type your text, publish post and voila! Other reasons are I can't understand or (honestly) learn the other 'additional' functions of tumblr and wordpress. Blogger has always seemed more friendly for down-to-earth me.

In other news, reminder to all and myself. Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides is OUT! Yay! I can't wait to feast my eyes on sexy duo Depp and Cruz and to a smaller extent, Barbossa.
If you have been watching the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy; The Black Pearl, The Dead Man's Chest and At World's End, you just have to watch the fourth. I have quite a mouthful to say about it but I shall hold back my tongue so as to not raise any expectations. (ITS GOING TO BE AMAZING) I haven't watched it but I just gotta a feeling its going to be great :)

It’s good to leave each day behind, like flowing water, free of sadness.Yesterday is gone and its tale told. Today new seeds are growing.

When was the last time you got a haircut?

A long long time ago.
It was in junior college when I layered my hair because it became a little unruly. And since then, I realized only now that time was the issue. Simply couldn't make time to chop off these black locks.

And so, in a hasty rush, I decided to go to a hair salon tomorrow. I'm gonna get the whole package. Hair wash, head massage and hair cut. I'm going to miss having long hair but oh well, we say goodbyes everyday and it turns out well in the end(most of the time at least). So now I just have to convince my mind and heart that its time to bid farewell to my long locks...

Psst..I'm back

Alhamdullilah I'm back. Well I'll try my best to keep up here. So a little update is due.

My apologies for being absent for oh so long. Exams were just breathing down my neck. And the last paper was last Wednesday EVENING!. Gotta get used to having exams that start and end at ungodly hours. But syukur that its all over. And now I have my holidays to look forward to.:) Just when I thought the days ahead would get brighter...I fell ill. Not the ordinary "Oh, I'm sick because of a cold/flu". It was the full blown course of fever. Since last Saturday I've been ill with fever. And you know the progress of the illness was gradual but eventual. Throat began to hurt, a symptom of the onset of fever. Few hours later at night(during the general elections results), I was shivering yet body temperature soared. I wasn't angry that I was ill. My logic was that since during the semester I haven't fallen sick so its high time I have this fever to further boost my immunity. And so, the illness progressed. Oh and I blame the weather for the sudden onset of fever. Its hot and dry weather here. I was thankful that it rained today to cool the heat. The most frightening thing about being ill was the discovery of blood in phlegm. Asked my mother if I should be concerned. She shrugged it off like as if it was normal. I for one was alarmed. But alhamdullilah until now nothing serious has happened(yet). I haven't been eating any medicine so basically I'm banking on my antibodies and white blood cells to fight the viruses and bacteria in my blood. Yes, I actually don't like eating medicine. Because their effectiveness vary from person to person yet they are given based on estimates and probabilities of whether they'll work effectively on an individual. If an illness can be treated naturally so let it be. If worse comes to worse, I'll swallow a few pills to make my illness go away.

I'm feeling better today but the nagging cough and scratchy throat won't bug off. And I'm irritable this way. Because I can't get any sleep. I'll be woken up by my own cough and sudden need to go use the washroom because of the relentless flow of water I've been drinking.

Current Health Status:
Nagging dog-like cough
Phlegm-filled throat
Tight feeling in chest
Shortness of breath
But still ALIVE

I asked Allah for favours and Allah gave me opportunities.

Maybe I received nothing I wanted, but I received everything I needed."
